How can I learn to play a guitar?
I am 23 years old, I don't have any knowledge of music and musical instruments.
I would like to learn more about music and musical instruments, but only as a way of relaxation. I am thinking about learning how to play the guitar, and possibly not get very much into complicated musical notions.
How can I learn to play a guitar (or what other instrument??? I don't know)?
What guitar should I buy: classical, electric, or acoustic? I want one of 100-150 $, and I want a new one, not from e-bay, because in my country we don't use e-bay.
Can you give me advice (good advice from people that know better than me maybe?...), or do you think I'm just nuts if I think about this thing?

PS: I don't want to start a band, I want to play it for me.. and possibly impress some girl or something creepy like that... hehe, I'm joking, is it a good joke?
1. Save money by buying an acoustic guitar.
2. Buy a book that covers all guitar chords & scales that you will need to know about & learn to play by practicing.
3. Learn how to play the guitar by ear. Listen to your favorite guitar tracks (especially rock & funk) and try to figure out the notes by hearing. You will not be perfect overnight. But you'll have a lot of fun hearing every detail of music itself.
