about the block we have T -μ*m1*g = m1*a or T = m1*a + μ*m1*g
about the hanging block m2*g - T = m2*a or T = m2*g - m2*a
equating these we get m1*a + μ*m1*g = m2*g - m2*a
or a = (m2*g - μ*m1*g)/(m1 + m2) = (0.157*9.80 - 0.23*0.570*9.80)/(0.570 + 0.157) = 0.349m/s^2
