My 3 years old Akita dog still like to nip or hold my hand. Is it normal behavior?

It is normal. Dogs do many things that we may consider strange. For instance, does your dog lick you first thing in the morning or when you come home from work? THey are just establishing that everything is the same and that nothing has changed in their order or heirarchy. Does your dog paw at you when you've stopped patting it or are paying attention to something else? It's because it still wants more attention from you. You can wean the dog from this behaviour, giving it treats when you take it outside, saying "ow!" in a loud tone when it grabs your hand, or changing the situation. More importantly, do you want your dog to stop it? I have a year old Golden that does the same thing, and I think it's sweet. He doesn't do it to others, just me, as he's seeking my affection as the Alpha male in the pack.
