If a salt-water aquarium is placed in a 29 degree F freezer, will the water get colder than 29 degrees F?
I have an honors project in Biology... We have to design an experiment around our research question. My research question is "Why does global warming affect penguins, and what will happen to them over the course of a few years or a decade?" My experiment is going to test Antarctica krill. In the experiment, 2 aquariums will be filled with salt water with a temperature of 29 degrees F. 10 krill will be placed in each of the aquariums, but only one of the aquariums' water will gradually increase by .5 degrees F until the overall temperature is about 32 degrees F. I cannot find any other way to keep the water that cold besides putting it in a freezer. (Water chillers' minimum temperature is 50 degrees F.) Can you help me?
No, the water will not get colder than the 29 degree freezer.
