Neon Lb
Converting to pressure and volumes?

a. A gas at 1.00 atm occupies 5.00 L. Under what pressure will the volume be 10.0 L if the temperature remains constant?
My Answer: 0.500 atm

b. A gas occupying 25.0 L has a pressure of 25.0 lb/in^2. What volume will it occupy if the pressure changes to 35.0 lb/in^2 while the temperature remains constant?
My Answer: 17.9 L

c. A 3.50 L sample of neon gas has a pressure of 0.950 atm at 20 degrees C. What would the volume be if the pressure increased to 1.50 atm and the temperature remained constant?
My Answer: 2.22 L

d. A gas with a pressure of 845 torr occupies 11.0 L. What will the pressure be for the following volumes if the temperature remains constant?
1. 2.50 L My Answer: 3720 torr
2. 4.00 L My Answer: 2320 torr
3. 15.0 L My Answer: 620 torr
4. 22.0 L My Answer: 423 torr

Thanks for your help!

p1V1 = p2V2
1.00 x 5.00 = p2 x 10.00
p2 = 0.500 atm ( Boyle's law)

25.0 x 25.0 = 35.0 x V2
V2 = 17.9 L

3.50 x 0.950 = V2 x 1.50
V2 = 2.22 L

845 x 11.0 = p2 x 2.50
p2 = 3718 torr

845 x 11 = p2 x 4
p2 = 2323 torr

845 x 11 = p2 x 15
p2 = 620 torr

845 x 11 = p2 x 22
p2 = 423 torr
