what songs can i play on 3 octaves?
i have a Schoenhut 37 Key Melodica i wanted to know what songs can i play on 3 octaves. i prefer classical but i am not sure i have enough keys. just i list of songs with a link to the notes would be fine
There are very few keyboard pieces that only use three octaves. A major advantage of a keyboard is it's easy to cover many octaves with only one person. You'd mostly be looking at simple beginners pieces like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star etc. Even then if you add a left hand then it's probably going to be over three octaves.
You're really going to struggle with any Classical music - it's mostly composed for an orchestra so any piano arrangements are going to cover many octaves. Even Ode to Joy covers four octave in the arrangement here: http://www.free-scores.com/download-sheet-music.php?pdf=10076
Of course you could just use a single note arrangement ie. take the above but only play the highest note in each chord and ignore the left hand completely. That looks like it would get you an approximation of Ode to Joy in less than three octaves.
