Was my fish not cooked? Or something worse..?
I don't cook fish often, but understand it's benefits. I decided to start simple and bought some english style battered fish. The easy kind you put in the oven for like 12 mins.
I cooked them. 6 mins on each side and it was all super hot and looked opaque and flaky inside. So I ate them. All was well.
I cooked them again and this time, under the same time, the inner center of the fish was black. I didn't eat that part cause I was scared, although I probably did eat a bit before noticing.
I drank four beers fast last night and woke up this morning with a terrible stomach ache and I was barfing (more dry heaves cause it was morning/no food in my stomach). I still feel shitty and am starting to think my hang over might be worse due to this black fish issue
Has anyone had this happen? Am I going to die?
You could have gotten a touch of food poisoning. But you wont die unless if goes on for days and days and you get dehydrated. Drink lots of gatorade or water..
Dehydration could lead to other problems so if it does you need to get to the doc.
I ate some bad fish one time, I threw my toenails up!!!! It was horrible I was at work the only one there and I had a line of customers and all I could to do was go in the back and puke in the big trash can over and over! Possibly one of my worst days.
