Why do my male friends tell me this stuff?
I know I can be easy to talk too...but I just don't get this one! A male friend of mine stops by to chat once and a while! He brings pizza and pepsi with him everytime. I almost can't turn him away when he comes...cause he is so sweet. We are just friends and no future happening with him will ever occur. He isn't the type of guy i would ever date. But he seems to think he needs to tell me all about his love life. Well...what ever he gets! He is older and not in the best shape of his life. So hearing this wild love life...makes me question him sometimes. He talks to me like i'm one of the guys alot. This can be great at times and others are just down right weird. My question is this...He came over tonight with a pizza and the latest story about the past Saturday night. He told me in detail about an encounter with two young women. After hearing the details about the money he flashed around the bar...i question wether they were paid..Should i tell him my real opinion, or let him lie?
Why do even listen to this? It should not be a question of whether you believe the story or not. Your challenging his story will only encourage him. Whenever the conversation gets "weird" you should just say, I like hanging out with you over pizza and Pepsi but I'd rather not discuss your love life. Let's just watch a movie or something.
